Deep in outerspace, there is a cardboard box. The cardboard box is known as ‘The Planet of the Square’. Where everything is grayscale, no color, and remains completely dull. In this planet, there are small alien-like creatures called ‘Squarians’, who are also very square. Each Squarian looks, acts, and share the same traits: they are all identical, and none of them speak or communicate with one another. In a world of boredom and no diversity, one of the Squarians find themselves wanting to leave this box. After all the failed attempts of trying to make friends, one Squarian full of wonder and life has a goal to find what is out there. After fighting off those trying to stop him from escaping this box, he cuts the box open; being in outerspace, the planet of the square gets sucked out of the box into space, ultimately destroying the city. The squarians quickly get sucked out of the box as well, and something magical happens. Each Squarian turns into a different shape, stars, triangles, cloud-shapes, hearts, circles, and an abundance of different shapes and colors. Our main hero turns into a circle, and floats in outerspace happy with the outcome of endless adventure. As he floats away to discover more; he is approached by a star shaped alien, who seeks to talk to talk and become friends. As he looks around, he sees everybody else talking and rejoicing with one another. In the end, they are no longer Squarians, but become different shapes and colors, being able to finally become themselves.
